We have built our first home, a nursery school, a computer education unit and a Community Hall at our Ngoingwa Centre.
We want to build two more houses on the same site so we can rescue another 100 girls.
We also provide help for children’s families in the community and support our older girls when they are old enough to live outside the home on their own. Recently we were able to help the homeless families created when the houses in the local slum burnt down.

We believe that the way out of poverty is through education. We encourage the girls to aim high, many of them have done well at school and several will attend University in the years ahead.
As well as school fees, we provide uniforms, books, food and transport to and from school. This investment in their future costs about £450 each year. In the UK we take it for granted that education will be provided free of charge but in Kenya everyone has to pay.
